EV Fire Blankets
An EV fire blanket is a large, thermally resistant sheet designed to be draped over a burning or overheating electric vehicle or battery. Made from woven fibreglass or similar high-temperature materials, it works by:
- Containing the fire — preventing it from spreading to surrounding vehicles, structures, or people
- Reducing oxygen availability at the fire's surface, slowing the burn
- Capturing toxic gases produced during thermal runaway, reducing hazard to bystanders
- Buying time for emergency services to arrive with specialist equipment
Fire blankets are particularly valuable in enclosed or semi-enclosed spaces — underground car parks, garages, or charging bays — where a spreading EV fire can have catastrophic consequences.

EV Fire Extinguishers
