How do I use the fire extinguisher?
Follow the PASS method: Pull the pin, Aim at the base of the fire (or battery area), Squeeze the handle, Sweep from side to side. For EV fires, focus on cooling the battery pack area.
How quickly can I deploy the blanket?
With practice, deployment takes 60-90 seconds. We recommend familiarizing yourself with the deployment process when you receive it (without exposing it to fire). In an emergency, two people can deploy it faster and more safely.
Should I call emergency services even if I have this equipment?
Absolutely YES. Always call 000 immediately when an EV fire occurs. This equipment is designed to contain and control the fire until emergency services arrive, not replace professional firefighters.
Can I put out an EV fire by myself?
Only attempt to fight small fires in the early stages, and only if it's safe to do so. If the fire is large, spreading rapidly, or you're uncertain, evacuate immediately and wait for emergency services. Your safety comes first.

How do I maintain the extinguisher?

Where should I store this equipment?
Store the extinguisher in an easily accessible location near your vehicle or charging station—wall-mounted brackets work well. Keep the blanket in its storage bag nearby, either wall-mounted or in a clearly labeled cabinet.
Do these products expire?
The extinguisher should be inspected annually and may need servicing every 5 years depending on the manufacturer's specifications. The blanket has no expiration date but should be inspected regularly for damage.
